It's a good question. Another good question is "Why is Jeva?".
"Where is Jeva?" and "How is Jeva?" are also good. Any question with
the word "JEVA" is good, because Jeva is good, and it's good to be asking
about it. Jeva itself is a question, too, but let's not answer it; let's
let it ring, shall we? "What is Jeva?" This question was asked of the first Zaphuct
prophet many years ago by one of his young students. Zaphuct said , "You
want to know about Jeva, do you?"
"Yes, yes, I do," said the student, so Zaphuct took a small dog
and asked, "What is this?"
"A dog," replied the student. Zaphuct plucked a hair from the dog
and tossed it aside. "Is it still a dog?" he asked.
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct pulled out a knife and cut off
the dog's tail. "Is it still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct cut off the dog's ears. "Is it
still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct pulled out the dog's teeth. "Is
it still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct gouged out the dog's eyes. "Is it
still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct removed the dog's tonsils,
appendix, and genitals. "Is it still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct cut off the dog's legs. "Is it
still a dog?"
"Yes," said the student. Zaphuct then took the remaining dog and
cut it cleanly in half from its nose to where its tail had been. Holding
up one half of the dog, he asked, "Is it still a dog?"
The student thought carefully and said, "No, it's a part of a
dog."
Zaphuct said, "It is a fine line that divides whole dog from
partial dog. That fine line might be called JEVA."
The student was not very satisfied with this explanation. He said,
"You killed a dog just to tell me that?"
But Zaphuct replied, "Will you tell others about this lesson?"
"I certainly will," said the student.
"And will they tell others?"
"I suppose..."
"And will people be talking about Jeva for many years to come as a
result?" Suddenly and inexplicably the stdent gained enlightenment.
And the prescience of the first prophet Zaphuct was correct, for
here it is, many years later, and this story is still being told.
Do you enter Jeva's world or does Jeva enter yours? It has been
said, "Both," likewise, "Neither." And as Both answers seem to make
sense, I prayed, "Oh, Jeva clue me that I might abandon my confusion--is
it Both or Neither?" to which I expected the answer: "it is Both AND
Neither." but didn't even recieve a less profound reply such as "chill
out," but it occurred to me if one is still wrapped up in questions of
"Self" versus "Other" one is missing the BIG SECRET entirely.
Finding the Sacred Words of Jeva
The Sacred words are very close. Let Jeva guide you. Take a
newspaper, for instance, and open it, and toss some rice onto it. The
rice will find Jeva's words for you, if you do this with a humble heart,
a clear mind, and excited genitals. Now cut the words out, shake them in
a cup, and draw them out, one by one. You may find the message
"cryptic," "esoteric," "unintelligable," "irrelevant," even "stupid," or
as a whole "a waste" of your precious "time" as if you really have "more
important" things to "do." But if you honestly seek the TRUTH, the
message should be instantly clear to you, as it was to the ancients, who
said, "We must reach Jeva for the sake of our own understanding.
Nothing rivals a direct link to Jeva."
Of course rice will suffice for the Ritual of Jeva's sacred words,
but the serious student of wisdom will likely wish to purchase a pouch
of sacred Jeva Beads--the official beads that is that have been
handcrafted by one Zaphot ->cluck<->cluck<- ybar, an ordained Prophet of Jeva who ekes out an holy aescetic existence in chronic 3rd platform awareness in the caves and foothills of West Virginia. These beads come in the pouch with the big "Jeva" on it. You must not be ashamed to own
such a pouch, as it is actually quite "cool" and most pople don't think
about the underlying meaning of it anyway.
But you--you've got that ZIP! in your eyes. You're Jeva...So very
Jeva...
It was the mammoth pygmies which first cried out, "Let us laugh, oh
Jeva," and it was unto them that Jeva spoke: "You'll laugh 'til you all
have mystical expriences."
Getting hyped for Jeva
is something to try and avoid.
In the words of the prophet, "I get down. I get down on the ground. I
get down on the ground and roll around."
""it's your call"
"it's your move"
"it's your choice"
"it's your life"
Stay dumb and be a good citizen, or get a whole lot dumber and follow
Jeva...
...Ride the hell out of your fantasies, baby...
...with Jeva, it's sink or swim, or face the facts, And when the facts
suck, suck harder."
--from "The Many Bats of Bob"
I believe it was Otto Rouge who said something like :"Each leaf and
blade of grass teems with life and stirs beneath me. All resound
together in a single chord...I hear and feel the living breath of Jeva.
Everything is Jeva. The whole universe is Jeva. The social base of our
perception should be the physical certainty that Jeva is all there is. A
mighty effort should be made to percieve Jeva as Jeva.
Jeva is forgetting that you yourself even exist, and Jeva is when you
realize something is infinite, beautiful, everything, that something is
you. How joyful and exciting to meet an old friend! How exhilarating to
discover yourself!
Jeva, like disease, spreads, and is, in fact, the very epidemic so
sorely needy to improve our collective health.
Does it state what will happen or does it predict what will
come? If it is it does both.
"Jeva is talking loud and saying nothing."
